Southern Miss Catering Adds Key Service Upgrades

A single number Hot Line and exclusive e-mail account are among the significant changes announced recently by Aramark, Eagle Dining in the Southern Miss Catering department.

Southern Miss Catering has established a functional system for a single number catering Hot Line to ensure quality customer service. Customers will continue to use the published catering contact number (601) 266-5552. This number will be answered by the Catering Sales Coordinator, Marlene Dillon, during business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday-Friday).

After hours, weekends, and any other time the Sales Coordinator is not at her desk, this same number rolls over to a designated mobile phone. Currently, all after hour calls are being routed to our Interim Catering Director Jessica Johnson.

Additionally, a dedicated USM e-mail account is being created to serve as an additional communication option for all catering clients. CateringFREEMississippi will allow catering clients to send detailed instructions, recipes, photographs, etc. to both the Catering and Culinary teams with one click.

After 21 years of service, Kim Busche has decided to leave Eagle Dining and the Aramark team to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. Filling the role of Catering Director on an interim basis is Jessica Johnson. Johnson is on loan from the Aramark account at Arizona State University. Aramark is currently interviewing nationally for the position of Catering Director. Johnson can be reached directly at johnson-jessica@aramark.com.

Also joining the Catering team are two new supervisors -- William Hamilton and Esther Hartfield. Both have solid career backgrounds in food service with a focus on special events and catering.
