The first floor residents of Luckyday Citizenship Hall on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus were named “Best Residential Community” by the National Association of College and University Residence Hall (NACURH) for November, 2014.

NACURH represents all 50 of the United States and six other countries – Australia, Canada, Mexico, Qatar, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. It is the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students and is currently the largest student-run organization in the world.

First-floor residents of Luckyday Citizenship Hall (part of the Century Park South residential complex) were named winners in a campus competition before moving on to the regional round where they emerged as the top nominee. The group, known as the First Floor Flock, then bested seven other regional winners to take the top prize for November of last year.

The first floor of Luckyday Citizenship hall is comprised of 20 female students – one resident assistant; two upper-class Luckyday mentors and 17 freshman students.
