Halloween is perhaps the spookiest and most fun day of the year when you can dress up in scary costumes and be someone completely different. The University of Southern Mississippi Roots & Shoots and the Department of Biological Sciences hosts the 2016 Haunted Science Tower (formerly known as the Haunted Science Trail) Oct. 28 from 4 – 7 p.m.

The community is invited to come out to the Johnson Science Tower (JST) located on the Southern Miss Hattiesburg campus to experience the spookier side of science. The Haunted Science Tower will feature real life BLOB monsters, sea creatures, mad scientists cooking up spooky chemicals, live creepy crawlies that will be available to touch, and much more.

Visitors will have a chance to go through the haunted science tower as well as play games and look at other demonstrations on the plaza in front of JST.

This event is free and open to the public, and donations are accepted. For more information, contact the Department of Biological Sciences at 601.266.4748.
