Dr. Rose Jones, center, assistant professor in The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education, along with students in her CIP 340 Foundational Studies in Early Childhood Education class, recently toured the historic Roberts one-room schoolhouse, located on the Hattiesburg campus in the courtyard of Owings-McQuagge Hall. The small, antique building is an example of the early accommodations for students in elementary, middle and high schools that often included no more than one large room. The tour was led by Dr. Debbie Stoulig, coordinator of NCATE Assessment.
