Career Services at The University of Southern Mississippi recently received a $2,500 gift from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, which also awarded the University's Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families a $500 gift.

“Enterprise Holdings, which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, has been a consistent employer of our graduates for many years,” said Rusty Anderson, Director of Career Services. “The gift from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, is greatly appreciated and the funds will be used to secure resources to better market our services to students. Through our partnership, we anticipate more opportunities will be created for students to connect with careers and internships.”

Career Services assists students in finding meaningful career paths, developing job seeking skills and connecting with employment opportunities to become successful professionals.

Jeff Hammond, Director of Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families said, “The University of Southern Mississippi Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families is grateful to the Enterprise Holdings Foundation for its support of our program. Such a caring and remarkably sincere gesture provides our Military Students scholarship support for them to further their educational and professional interests. We appreciate the Enterprise Holdings Foundation and in particular Enterprise Holdings Talent Acquisition Manager April McClung for caring enough to request the grant in an effort to “Make A Difference” in the lives of Our Military Students.”
