USM International Business Students Dine at Consulate General of France in New Orleans

Seven international business students from The University of Southern Mississippi enjoyed a memorable experience on the evening of Monday, Jan. 11 as dinner guests at the residence of the Consulate General of France in New Orleans.
The students -- Kristen Mitchell, Brianna Watson, Kaylyn Mallory, Cailyn Long, Jenifer Gary, Patrick Floyd, and Dayla Thompson made the visit as part of their International Business (IB472) Capstone Class directed by Dr. John Lambert.
The USM College of Business offers a major in International Business. In the capstone IB 472 class, students engage leaders in both the public and private sectors, and are exposed to the front lines of international business in the region. One of the principle partners to the IB 472 class is the French American Chamber of Commerce – Gulf Coast Chapter.
“I am really impressed with these students. They showed up at a function, raring to go, business cards in hand; and did this a week before the semester even began, said Lambert, associate professor of International Business. “They made a great impression with their professional appearance and research done in advance so that they could engage in meaningful conversation. The feedback that I received about them was all good.”
