USM Nursing Students Present Posters at International Conference

Tomekia Earl, of Summit, Miss., and Tiffany Zyniewicz, of Seattle, Wash., both doctoral students in The College of Nursing at The University of Southern Mississippi, represented the University as Rising Stars at Sigma Theta Tau International's Leadership Conference last month in Indianapolis, Ind.

 “Tomekia and Tiffany are bright students who will no doubt make a significant contribution in nursing science,” said Dr. Lachel Story, Assistant Dean for Research and Evaluation and PhD. Program Director for The College of Nursing. “Both students have received numerous awards and scholarships reflecting the caliber of their work.”

The Gamma Lambda chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International housed in The College of Nursing is an organization for nurses to engage in professional research, scholarship and community service.  The chapter was recently recognized through the showcase of Regional Excellence.
