Alumna Makes Donation to deGrummond Collection

Sylvia Williams, left, a retired librarian who worked at public schools throughout Mississippi during her career, recently donated her collection of books, reference books and magazine and newspaper articles to the deGrummond Children's Literature Collection at The University of Southern Mississippi. Pictured with Williams are deGrummond Collection Curator Ellen Ruffin and Dawn Smith, assistant to the dean of University Libraries, discussing the contents of the donation which features African American literature, including a copy of a biography written by Williams of famed soprano Leontyne Price, a Laurel, Miss. native.
