Alumnus Lance Brown Guest Speaker for Undergraduate Symposium April 22

The University of Southern Mississippi's Drapeau Center for Undergraduate Research (DCUR) and Honors College will co-host USM's 2017 Undergraduate Symposium on Research and Creative Activity Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Thad Cochran Center on the Hattiesburg campus.

This annual event showcases the outstanding work of undergraduate students at the University, and members of the university and local communities are invited to attend. Approximately $15,000 in prizes will be awarded to students across 17 competition categories. Lance Brown, executive director of Partnership for Affordable Clean Energy (PACE), is guest speaker for the event's luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Brown is a Southern Miss alumnus who was named a Truman Scholar while a student at USM.
