Faculty and student musicians from The University of Southern Mississippi's School of Music will present Mozart's Gran Partita on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. in the Fleming Education Center Auditorium on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.

The concert will feature an ensemble of 13 musicians performing Mozart's timeless classic. Also known as Serenade No. 10 in B-flat major, Mozart's Gran Partita was composed in 1781 and is the only piece written by Mozart which features this specific instrumentation.

University Bands director and concert organizer Dr. Colin McKenzie stated, “We are excited to bring this beautiful piece to the University's Gulf Park campus in Long Beach, and we hope that the University community and the public will come out and enjoy this musical performance.”

The concert will also be presented on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Marsh Auditorium on USM's Hattiesburg campus.

Both programs are free and open to the public.
