Street, Parking Lot Closures set for Aug. 10-12 on Hattiesburg Campus for Move-In Days

Move-in Days for incoming students at The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus are Friday, Aug. 11 and Saturday, Aug. 12, coordinated through the USM Department of Housing and Residence Life. In preparation, the following areas will close on the dates indicated:
*East Memorial Drive will close Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. All vehicles in the area must vacate parking by 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 or be subject to towing. This area will not reopen to regular traffic flow or parking until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12. The Kennard Washington Hall and Eagle Walk parking lots will be open for regular parking both days. Move-in Day for Mississippi and Hattiesburg Halls will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, and Saturday, Aug. 12.
*The parking lot in front of Wilber Hall (Panhellenic) will close Thursday, Aug. 10, at 5 p.m. All vehicles in this lot must be moved to other parking areas by 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 or be subject to towing. Move-in Day for Wilber Hall will begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon.
*Bond Hall parking on Ray Guy Way and parking on Golden Eagle Avenue will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10. All vehicles in these areas must be moved by 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 or be subject to towing. This area will be used for overflow and unloading for move-in day at Century Park South and Lucky Day Citizenship Hall.
*The first two parking bays of Century Park North will close Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. All vehicles in these areas will need to be moved to other parking areas by 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11 or be subject to towing. Move-in Day for Century Park North begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and ends at noon.
*The first floor of the parking garage will close for Move-in Day Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. All vehicles parked on the first floor must be moved to other areas of the parking garage, or other available parking on campus, or be subject to towing. Move-in Day for Century Park South will begin Friday, Aug.11 at 8 a.m. and end at noon.
*The Hillcrest residence hall parking lot will close Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. All vehicles in this area must be moved to other parking areas by 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11 or be subject to towing. Move-in Day for Hillcrest begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and ends at noon.
