USM Online Nursing Masters Degree Program Ranked Highly

The University of Southern Mississippi's online Master's degree program in nursing has been ranked among the nation's best in two distinguished categories by research publisher SR Education Group.

In its just-released report, SR Education Group ranked USM at No. 19 among the 2018 Top Online Colleges for Master's degrees in nursing, and No. 24 among the 2018 Most Affordable Colleges for the same degree program.

“The rankings recognize the exceptional work of our faculty as well as the superior programs we offer our students. Offering affordable programs for nurses to advance their education helps ensure high quality healthcare is provided in our state and region,” said Dr. Lachel Story, Director, School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice in the USM College of Nursing.

The 2018 Top Online Colleges ranking is based on value. SR Education Group researched and analyzed accredited online schools across the nation, taking into consideration academic strength factors as well as annual tuition rates to provide a list of colleges offering the best value to students. Inclusion on this list shows high academic standards and a commitment to affordability, two key factors important to prospective students.
