USM Students Have Opportunity to Interview, Network at Career Fair

More than 80 companies will be represented as part of the Fall 2017 Career Fair set for Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the Thad Cochran Center on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus. The fair is scheduled from Noon – 4 p.m. in the TCC ballrooms.
Kathy Killam, assistant director of Career Services at USM, notes that the fair provides an opportunity for students to establish networking connections.
“Whether or not students are looking for professional, part-time, or internship positions now – or for the future – it's about making the connections and planting the seed with potential employers to pave the way for those opportunities,” said Killam. “It is also a great way to gather additional information about companies of interest.”
Several companies also will be conducting interviews following the fair on Wednesday, Oct. 11. These include: Cintas, Georgia Pacific, Hensel Phelps, ArcBest, and The Hershey Company. The deadline to apply for an interview is Saturday, Oct. 7.
