USM Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega Wins Founders' Cup Award

The Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at The University of Southern Mississippi capped off an impressive 2017-18 academic year by capturing the prestigious Founders' Cup presented to the organization's top-5 performing chapters. Winning chapters are announced every two years.

Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women's fraternal organization in the world with more than 355,000 initiates, 181 collegiate chapters, and more than 240 alumnae chapters.

Professionals to Receive Recognition during National Sports Security Conference

Six outstanding professionals will be recognized for their leadership in addressing safety and security issues as part of the 2018 National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition set for July 10-12, in Louisville, KY.

Photo and/or Video Opportunities

The Summer Gifted Studies Program is being held this week on the Hattiesburg campus. The program, designed for students in grades 4-8, is sponsored by the Frances A. Karnes Center for Gifted Studies. Program participants are housed on campus for the week. The program features a number of instructional activities that will be conducted in classrooms and laboratories on the campus. Recreational opportunities are also scheduled. To arrange for coverage, contact David Tisdale or Van Arnold.
