Davies, director of The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Mass Communication and Journalism, as one of only six members of its newest class of prestigious Visiting Professors in Social Media. Dr. Davies's participation in the program includes a two week ‘externship' this summer with a media outlet, KNVX-TV in Phoenix, where he will work with its digital journalists to learn more about how technology is reshaping the delivery of news.
