USM's Student-Led Golden Baskets Project Supports Coastal Families
Students, faculty and staff from The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Gulf Park campus in Long Beach are making the upcoming holiday season a little brighter for several local families.
On Friday, Nov. 16, the 2018 Thanksgiving Golden Baskets were presented to 58 individuals (19 adults and 39 children) across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Psychology Graduate Students Awarded Travel Grants
Eight graduate students in The University of Southern Mississippi's (USM) School of Psychology are recipients of funding from the Graduate Competitive Travel Award (GCTA) program, which supports travel to national or international-level professional conference or exhibitions for presentation of research or creative work.
The Graduate Competitive Travel Award (GCTA) program is jointly funded by the USM Graduate School and the Vice President for Research.

Symphony Orchestra and Choral Activities Present Holiday Choral Spectacular November 27 & 29
The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Symphony Orchestra and USM Choral Activities will present the Annual Holiday Choral Spectacular on Nov. 27 & 29. Both performances are set for 7:30 p.m. at the Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Miss. The event is presented in part by the generous support of Partners for the Arts.

The de Grummond Children's Literature Collection is one of North America's leading research centers in the field of children's literature. The Collection holds the original manuscripts and illustrations of more than 1,300 authors and illustrators, as well as 180,000+ published books dating from 1530 to the present.
