The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Music is proud to present its Eagle's Nest Food Pantry Benefit Concert on Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Marsh Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus.

In collaboration with the School of Social Work, the concert benefits the Eagle's Nest Food Pantry, USM's on-campus food pantry that serves students, faculty, and staff.

“Featuring performances by students and faculty, we are very excited to partner with the food pantry to help our community,” said Dr. Galit Kaunitz. “One piece in particular will be the world premiere of a work for oboe and bassoon by local composer and USM alumnus Ron Hancock.”

Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable foods and school supplies will be accepted at the door. Possible items include (but are not limited to) pasta, rice, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, canned proteins, baby food, diapers, pet food, notebooks and pens, soup, beans, coffee, and oatmeal.
