Smith Crowned Miss University of Southern Mississippi

Macken'z Smith, a senior speech pathology/audiology major from Philadelphia, Miss., was crowned Miss University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Nov. 10 at Mannoni Performing Arts Center (PAC) on the Hattiesburg campus, during the annual Miss University of Southern Mississippi Scholarship Pageant.

First Alternate is Katelyn Brown, a junior from Richton, Miss. Madalyn Oglesby, a freshman from Brookhaven, Miss., earned the title of Miss Spirit of Southern at the event.
Smith will advance to the Miss Mississippi Pageant, set to be held in Vicksburg July 19-22, 2019.
