Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Halftime will feature the introduction of the homecoming court and crowning of its queen.

At the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach, events include a reception for the Gulf Park Campus homecoming representative Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. in the Hardy Hall Ballroom.; and on Thursday, Oct. 18, a pep rally will be held at the Chimney Pavilion from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (rain site for this event will be the Hardy Hall Ballroom).

“The Student Government Association (SGA) is ecstatic for USM's 2018 Homecoming celebration,” said SGA President McKenna Stone. “The week leading up to the homecoming football game is filled with fun programming and some healthy student competition. Students and community members will have opportunities to build relationships, serve the community, showcase student talent, learn Southern Miss history, and participate in time-honored USM traditions.

“As this year's homecoming theme is ‘Home Sweet Southern Miss,' we're also excited to see our alumni return home, and our students and community members celebrate our Golden Eagle nest.”
