Southern Miss Alumni Association Launches Community Service Initiative
On Saturday, Feb. 23, University of Southern Mississippi alumni across the Southeast are invited to participate in community service as part of the Southern Miss Alumni Association's Doing GOLD Work initiative.
Held on the same day as the University's annual community service day, The Big Event, alumni have the opportunity to serve their local communities while representing Southern Miss.

Dale Center's McCarthy Lecture Series Returns Jan. 29 with “The World of James Bond: The Life and Times of 007”
“Spy Games: War and Espionage in the 20th Century” is the theme for the 14th annual Dale Center for the Study of War and Society's Richard McCarthy Lecture Series, featuring a presentation by Dr. Jeremy Black Tuesday, Jan. 29 entitled “The World of James Bond: The Life and Times of 007.” This free event will be held at 6 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building, room 108 on the Hattiesburg campus.

The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus premieres its spring 2019 Cultural Arts Series, "Representing the Experiences of Women, From the English Renaissance to Right Now," today at 5:30 p.m. with a pop-up art exhibition and gallery talk. This is the first of three events in the Cultural Arts Series. The exhibition will feature works by Mississippi Gulf Coast artists Paulette Dove, Ellen Ellis Lee and Julia Reyes.
