USM Alumnus Speaking Today as Part of Inspired Leaders Series

The College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi will kick off its Spring 2019 Inspired Leaders Series today with a presentation by alumnus Duane Lock, founder and president of River Oaks Energy Dallas, Texas. The lecture will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the McDonnell Auditorium of Scianna Hall on the Hattiesburg campus. The Inspired Leaders Series provides industry leaders the opportunity to present their insights in large and small group settings with students. USM Scientist Selected to Join E/V Nautilus for Fellowship Program

The University of Southern Mississippi Scientist Danielle Bailey was recently selected to join the 2019 Ocean Exploration Trust's Science Communication Fellowship Program.

The Ocean Exploration Trust's Science Communication Fellowship Program works to immerse educators in the Nautilus Corps of Exploration and encourages them to bring ocean exploration to a global audience.

USM's Miller and Moeller Selected for Keesler Honorary Commander Program

Dr. Steve Miller, Vice President for The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus and Pam Moeller, Director of External Affairs for USM's School of Ocean Science and Engineering, have been selected for the 403rd Wing Honorary Commander Program at Keesler Air Force Base.

Cook Library Exhibit Features NOW Material in Conjunction with Women's History Month

An exhibit featuring pieces from the papers of women from Mississippi involved in the National Organization for Women during the 1980s, drawn from a collection held in the University of Southern Mississippi's McCain Library and Archives, is currently on display in the Cook Library lobby on the Hattiesburg campus.
