O Sole Trio is set to perform at USM's Mannoni Performing Arts Center on Feb. 2.

The University of Southern Mississippi presents its Connoisseur Series with O Sole Trio on February 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center (MPAC).

The free concert is presented in part by the generous support of Partners for the Arts and by the grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.  This event is the culminating program for the School of Music's Vocal Arts & Science Symposium.

Trio members soprano Erin Shields, baritone Giuseppe Spoletini, and the world's first musician to play violin and piano at the same time, David Shenton will perform their show From Pavarotti to Pop. O Sole Trio covers a wide range of styles that puts a fresh spin on familiar tunes, simultaneously being whimsical yet emotionally powerful.

“Three incredibly talented performers…beautifully, weaving the styles and languages together into a dazzling musical tapestry,” stated Harold Sanditen of Cabaret Scenes. “It's an evening you'd be crazy to miss.”

O Sole Trio quickly established themselves as a musical force, performing at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, as well as over 200 other venues throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In addition to touring and providing educational outreach concerts and masterclasses, O Sole Trio has also released numerous albums such as O Sole Trio: Bravissimo Broadway.
