USM Instructor LeBert Named President-Elect of Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Amy Rosonet LeBert, director and instructor of the Speech Pathology Clinic at The University of Southern Mississippi, has been elected president-elect of the Council of State Speech-Language-Hearing Association Presidents.

LeBert, who has been a member of the School of Speech & Hearing Sciences at USM for 11 years, will serve as president-elect for 2019 before advancing to President in 2020.

LeBert noted that her goals as president-elect fall directly in line with the CSAP mission statement, which is to:

• provide leadership training for state Speech-Language-Hearing association presidents
• be a forum for collaboration and networking among these leaders
• promote communication of professional matters between state Speech-Language-Hearing associations, ASHA and other related national professional.

Among the duties in her new role, LeBert will assist the CSAP president with committee supervision and committee chair appointments; assist with monitoring and implementation of strategic plan, and coordinating an annual update of the Policy and Procedures Manual.
