Annual Security and Fire Safety Document Available

The 2020-21 annual Security and Fire Safety Compliance Report is available on The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Police Department website at https://www.usm.edu/police/_files/82438asr_final.pdf.

The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, university police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.

Both also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by USM; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

Copies of the annual Security and Fire Safety Report may also be obtained at the University Police Department (UPD), located in Bond Hall West next to the parking garage, or at the Dean of Students Office, located on the second floor of the R.C. Cook Student Union. Students and employees at the USM Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach can obtain a copy at the UPD Office, located at 138 Beach Park Place. Students and employees at the USM Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs can obtain a copy at the Field Studies Building, room 107.
