The University of Southern Mississippi’s (USM) College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) provides a variety of advanced learning environments designed to enhance students' educational experiences and clinical proficiency. These facilities combine technology, hands-on training, and collaborative learning spaces to prepare students for the challenges of the healthcare industry.
Available Facilities

The College of Nursing and Health Professions Simulation Centers provide immersive learning environments that bridge classroom instruction with clinical practice. Located on both the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses, the centers feature high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, and specialized spaces such as ICU suites, operating rooms, exam rooms, and debriefing classrooms. Guided by an interprofessional team of faculty and simulation specialists, the centers prepare students to build clinical judgment, strengthen professional competencies, and engage in research while fostering excellence in simulation-based education.

DuBard School for Language Disorders
The DuBard School for Language Disorders was established in 1962 as part of The University of Southern Mississippi to support children with severe language and communication disorders. It provides specialized, tuition-free educational and therapy services in a structured, supportive environment.

Children's Center for Communication Development
The Children’s Center for Communication and Development, established in 1974 at The University of Southern Mississippi, is a clinical division of the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. It provides comprehensive early intervention services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with significant disabilities, serving more than 90 children and their families across South Mississippi. In addition to direct services, the Center offers preprofessional training in fields such as speech-language pathology, audiology, physical and occupational therapy, and special education.

Speech Language Pathology & Audiology Clinic
The Speech-Language-Audiology Clinic at The University of Southern Mississippi has provided comprehensive assessment and treatment services for more than 50 years. As part of the graduate training program in Speech-Language Pathology, services are delivered by student clinicians under the supervision of ASHA-certified faculty. The Clinic supports individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders while also offering undergraduate students opportunities to observe and assist in clinical practice.

Gulf Park Health Center provides convenient, on-campus medical services for faculty, staff, and students at the Gulf Park campus. The clinic offers basic health care, wellness visits, and referrals, supporting the overall well-being of the campus community.
