The Firebugs (2012)
Page Content
Written in 1953, this dark comedy visits a frightened town plagued by arsonists. A highly theatrical metaphor for Nazism and fascism, this classic post-war drama exposes how normal citizens are taken in by evil and is as shocking today as it was when it first appeared as an example of European Expressionism. The Firebugs received an important revival at Britain’s National Theatre in 2007.
