The Psychology Scholars Program in the School of Psychology at the University of Southern
Mississippi was developed for high achieving undergraduate psychology majors. The
goals of this program are to enhance these students' engagement in the department
and challenge them academically, socially, and intellectually in preparation for advanced
educational and career pursuits. Through the Psychology Scholars Program, this exclusive
group of select students receive training and mentorship that will enhance their success
in applying for graduate school or seeking a psychology-related career.

that is helping me prepare for life after college while providing experience will
set me apart from other job or grad school applicants in the future."

offers students the opportunity to better develop their skills, fine tune areas of
weakness and receive extra advice and guidance as they prepare of grad school or future
careers."
- "The psychology scholars program offers students the extra push needed to set themselves
apart and prepare for the next leg of their academic and/ or professional journey."
- "The scholars program is extremely helpful in preparing you for your future. I know
for a fact that I wouldn't be half as prepared for graduate school if I had not been
a part of this program. It has eased my mind, and made me confident in my ability
