The annual College of Health Student Awards Ceremony was held in the Thad Cochran Center on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Dr. Kelly Metz presented awards to Mary Catherine Cazalas, Emily Miller and Emily Nester (see photos)

Photos are not available for Molly McKay who received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Audiology, Haley Carter-Fredrickson, Sertoma Outstanding Graduate Student for Early Oral Intervention and Kalinda Cadence, Outstanding Graduate Student for Early Oral Intervention.

Congratulations to all of these students from faculty, staff and fellow students in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.

Third-year Audiology doctoral students participated in the 2018 White Coat Ceremony held on April 14th in the Thad Cochran Center.

Congratulations, Ms. Lebert, on 10 years of service to Southern Miss. Ms. Lebert also won the Outstanding Service Award at the College of Health's Award Ceremony held on May 1st.

May is Better Hearing and Speech Month

Monday, May 14, 2018- Hattiesburg Mayor Toby Barker declared "May is Better Hearing and Speech Month" at a small gathering in the J.B. George Building. University officials as well as faculty and students in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences attended the proclamation ceremony. Many thanks to Mayor Barker for taking time from his busy schedule to join the gathering.
