There are many ways you can help support the scholars of the Southern Miss Honors College.
Contribute to the Honors College: It is an exciting time at the Southern Miss Honors College and a wonderful time for you to consider making a monetary contribution. There are two types of monetary contributions. An unrestricted contribution may be used by the Honors College to support active learning classes, guest lecturers, student research and theses binding. A contribution to one of our endowments, The Honors College Student Scholarship Endowment or the Honors College Institutional Endowment, will be used to support student scholarship or institutional investments respectively.
Be a Mentor: Many Honors students, especially those nearing graduation or entering graduate programs, seek career mentors. If you are an Honors College alumni or a friend of the Honors College who would be interested in being a career mentor or resource to our students please consider volunteering to serve as a Honors College career mentor. Additionally, when seeking employees or interns for your company please consider Honors College students or graduates.
Join our Alumni Network: Stay in touch with the Honors College. Let us know of your successes. Find out what your classmates are doing now. The Honors College will be reinvigorating its efforts to maintain contact with alumni during 2007-2008 with a number of initiatives, including the formation of a Board of Alumni. Graduates who are interested in helping with these efforts are encouraged to contact the College.
Help us Recruit: You know the students of your community better than anyone. Tell us about prospective students we should be recruiting. Join us at recruiting events in your area or consider hosting an event in your hometown.
