Group Advisement
Page Content
Group advising is more of a round-table teaching session where the professional advising staff teach students how to properly plan and forecast their progression toward graduation. In addition to confirming course selections for the next semester, students will learn about student success strategies, important events and deadlines, and any policy changes.
AT THE TIME YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS COMPLETED AND READY TO TURN IN:
- Printed Degree Progress Report (printed within the last month)
- Completed Semester-by-Semester Guide for your specific major and catalog year, which can be found here. For instructions on how to complete your Semester-by-Semester Guide, click here.
- Completed Proposed Schedule Sheet with a full schedule and nine hours of alternates, which can be found here.
With three group sessions offered four times per week, we have a wide range of time slots and days to accommodate every schedule. Students should be diligent to sign up early and not wait until the last minute. No students should miss class because of any group advising sessions. All group sessions begin promptly at their scheduled time. Latecomers will be required to reschedule their appointment.
