Order of Omega – National Greek Leadership Honor Society
Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society that was founded in 1959 at the University of Miami. On February 9, 1967, the second chapter was chartered at the University of Southern Mississippi, Omega Beta.
Order of Omega has over 600 chapters in North America that recognize students for their scholarship, leadership, character, and service to the Greek lettered, campus and local communities. We strive to recognize those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in interfraternity activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment.
Open to new members each fall semester. To be eligible for membership, students must:
- Be a junior or senior
- Be in the top 3% of the Fraternity & Sorority Life Community
- Be a member in a USM recognized fraternity or sorority
- Have demonstrated leadership capabilities
