Reservation Requests

Southern Miss Gulf Park is now using Mazevo (mah-zay-voe) as our reservation system.

Beginning Fall 2022, registered Student Organizations and select departments will begin submitting all event requests directly into Mazevo using the links provided below using their SOAR Credentials.

External customers that do not have USM credentials may request space using the External Request form below. 

  • Individuals, groups or organizations that are external to The University of Southern Mississippi should submit this online Event & Information Request form.
  • University of Southern Mississippi employees should use this Internal Event Request form to submit space reservation requests.
    • Events that are classified as “internal” are events hosted by a department, division, college, school, office or student organization within The University of Southern Mississippi. Events classified as “internal” will not incur facility fees; however, all applicable service fees will be charged as needed. Events charging registration are subject to additional fees.
    • Events that are classified as “grant funded” are events that are hosted by an organization that is housed within The University of Southern Mississippi and receives 50% or more of the funding from the grant source. Organizations that meet this criterion will not incur facility fees; however, all applicable service fees will be charged as needed. Events charging registration are subject to additional fees.
    • Sponsored or Hosted Events: a non-USM organization holding a meeting on campus, hosted by a faculty or staff member at Southern Miss. These are typically academic or professional associations with whom the University sponsor is directly linked, and the faculty or staff member hosting the event should be in attendance. Sponsored groups receive a 50-percent discount on the room rate; catering and technology services are charged at external rates. Faculty and staff wishing to sponsor an event should request approval from their divisional vice president prior to reserving the room so the discounted rate can be applied.
  • All University of Southern Mississippi student organizations should use this Student Org Request Form to submit reservation requests.
    • Use your SOAR credentials to access the system (w##### + Password). Training information is provided through their website here.
  • Gulf Park Event Services has a list of items available for rent for internal departments and student orgs for meetings held off campus or not planned through our department. These items can be requested through the Rental Reservation Request Form
