The Longleaf Arboretum is a 30-acre park nested in the south end of the Eubanks Preserve at the Lake Thoreau Environmental Center (LTEC). Over 60 species of trees can be found in the Arboretum. Access is limited to LTEC public operating hours (Saturdays and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.).
Trail access to the Arboretum is via the Lake Thoreau Loop Trail and the Boulderburg Trail.
Native tree species include American Beech, Sourwood, Longleaf Pine, White Oak, Water Tupelo, Tulip Poplar and dozens more. Click here for a current list of tree species.
