Ready for an adventure? Outdoor Adventure Camp is all about hands-on exploration and learning real outdoor skills. Campers will build shelters, learn how to safely start a fire, explore basic survival skills like finding food and water, and practice navigation using maps and compasses.
Students will work together to complete challenges, build structures from natural materials, and explore the plants and animals around Lake Thoreau. This camp is designed to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors.

And of course, we’ll also be playing games, getting muddy, building forts, and learning how to safely control fire.
This is a day camp held at Lake Thoreau Environmental Center, with activities taking place primarily outdoors.
Check-in will be between 7:30 and 8:30 A.M. each day, and checkout will occur between 4:45 and 5:30 P.M.
