The 15-credit hour certificate includes online courses related to literature, programs, and services for youth (birth to age 18). The certificate program is completed entirely online and can be earned with an MLIS degree, a related master’s degree, or as post-master’s certificate for those holding an MLIS or master’s degree in a related field. No GRE or other test score is required. It offers the exciting opportunity to experience electives outside of the LIS field.
Program Mission: To prepare students for educational or library careers related to children and young adult literature, programs and services.

Certificate Assessment: After successfully completing the required coursework, students are required to complete an e-portfolio that includes assignment examples, reflection, and course descriptions.
