Dr. John Forde

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, Dr. John Forde earned master’s and doctoral degrees in communications from University of Southern Mississippi. He went on to achieve a successful career in higher education and currently leads the Communications Department at MSU, a position he has held for 22 years. Forde has been awarded several honors including the John Grisham Faculty Excellence Award and the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award. Forde was accredited in Public Relations in 1991 from the Southern Public Relations Federation.  He later served as the group’s president and received its Professional Achievement Award.  Forde was inducted into the MCJ Hall of Fame in 2009.
