Barnes and Noble Textbook Scholarship

The Spring 2024 application is now closed.

The Center for Student Success awards textbook scholarship funds every semester. To be eligible for funds an applicant must be a full-time, undergraduate student at The University of Southern Mississippi on either the Hattiesburg or Gulf Park campus. Additionally, scholarship recipients must participate in specified success based programs.

Funding is limited and priority is given to students with unmet financial need as indicated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applicants will be notified of their award status.

If selected as a recipient, awardees should note that these funds can only be used at the Barnes and Noble bookstores on the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses or to order books through the Barnes and Noble online bookstore. All scholarship recipients must have opted into Barnes & Noble’s Eagle Direct program. 

Scholarship funds will be applied to each student’s account.
