The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Music presents its Guest Artist Series with Dr. Ryan Fogg on Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Marsh Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Fogg will perform “Mostly Mozart,” a recital that will feature a variety of works for solo piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Pieces being performed are Fantasy in C minor, K. 475, Sonata in D Major, K. 284, and Rondo in A minor, K. 511.

The performance will conclude with the stunning Reminiscences de Don Juan, a fantasy by Franz Liszt based upon themes from Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni.

“Ryan Fogg is an excellent pianist, drawing an impressive range of sounds out of his instrument,” said Peter Burwasser of Fanfare in a review. “His unique approach to technical matters, not to mention his interesting taste in contemporary music, makes for a compelling and engrossing release.”

Fogg is Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at Carson-Newman University. Fogg maintains an active performing schedule, having performed solo recitals throughout the United States.
