School of Construction and Design Hosting Presentation by Expert on Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright

William Allin StorrerA leading expert on famed American architect Frank Lloyd Wright will be in Hattiesburg Tuesday, March 3 when The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Construction and Design hosts Dr. William Allin Storrer, considered the world’s preeminent cataloger of Wright’s work, for a presentation at 7 p.m. at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, located at 723 Main Street. Admission is free.

Storrer has written and lectured on Wright’s work for more than 50 years, and is the author of The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog and The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion. He will also meet with USM Construction and Design students during his visit to Hattiesburg.

“Mr. Storrer is one of the world’s leading authorities on the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, and we’re thrilled at the opportunity to welcome him to Hattiesburg and the USM campus,” said James Polk, visiting instructor in the School of Construction and Design. “He literally wrote the book on Frank Lloyd Wright. The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog and the expanded version – The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion – document photographs, floor plans, location, and descriptions of each of Frank Lloyd Wright’s over 500 built works.”
