A Message From the School Director

Welcome to the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering (CSCE) at The University of Southern Mississippi!

Computing is transforming every industry, and the ability to solve problems, analyze data, and create innovative solutions has never been more valuable. The School of CSCE is committed to expanding opportunities in computing while preparing the next generation of technical leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Our school offers degree programs in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, and information technology at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. Our Bachelor of Science programs in computer science, computer engineering, and information technology are ABET accredited, and our graduates have gone on to build successful careers with organizations such as Apple, Amazon, NASA, Nissan, Raytheon, Cisco, Lockheed Martin, and Howard Industries.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Through the School of CSCE Innovation Initiative, we are strengthening multidisciplinary learning, advancing cutting-edge research, and building deeper partnerships with industry. New courses and experiential learning opportunities focused on technology innovation are helping students develop not only technical expertise but also the creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills needed to transform ideas into meaningful impact.
