Parenting Gifted Children Workshop Series

The Parenting Gifted Children Workshop Series is open to all parents and grandparents of gifted students.  Held on the three consecutive Saturdays between January 23 and February 6, the series explores a variety of topics that help you be the best parent you can be to your talented, quirky, inquisitive, unique child.  Come join us at 9:30 AM each weekend for information and networking with other parents.

January 23: Deep Dive into Dabrowski

This session is all about your child’s quirks and how those unusual characteristics are actually helping them to grow and learn.  We’ll discuss positive ways to repurpose unwieldy behaviors, allowing your children to take flight in positive ways.

January 30: Family Financial Literacy Preparation

Come hear from our Mississippi Council on Economic Education representative as they provide information on helping your whole family build positive financial literacy and practical skills.  Get prepared for our Family Financial Fun Day coming up in February.

February 6: Brain Surgery Around the Dinner Table

If your family suffers from the not so occasional meltdown or anxiety attack or even struggles to maintain a positive outlook from time to time, this is the day for you!  We will crack open our skulls, get out our scalpels, and practice some brain surgery techniques that will change everything for the better.
