The priority date for summer awarding is April 1st. We must have a completed summer application and an official FAFSA by this date in order to ensure you have aid before summer classes begin. You may be required to pay out of pocket if you do not meet the priority date. The 2021-2022 FAFSA can be completed online at www.studentaid.gov.
A student must be fully admitted to The University of Southern Mississippi, enrolled at least half-time, and seeking a degree from the university to receive most types of federal financial aid. All credit hours taken during the summer session must apply toward a student's program of study.
