Graduate faculty are elected by the Graduate Council upon recommendation by the department or school chairs/directors and the academic deans.
Graduate faculty may be granted Regular or Associate status.
All Regular Graduate Faculty members must be tenured or in a tenure-track position.
Regular Graduate Faculty may be granted one of three levels that differ in responsibilities (see form).
Regular Graduate Faculty status must be renewed every five years.
Associate Graduate Faculty may be granted one of four levels that differ in responsibilities (see form).
A1, A2 & A3 levels are for part-time, visiting, adjunct, and teaching faculty.
Associate Graduate Faculty status must be renewed every three years.
All faculty recommendations form must be approved by the department/school Chair or
Director and by their college Dean.
