The Southern Miss Activities Council (SMAC) is a student-run, student-funded organization that offer a variety of educational and entertaining programs to complement the Southern Miss academic experience. SMAC strives to enhance the overall college experience for ALL Southern Miss students by focusing on engaging events to increase retention rates at the university.

Membership in SMAC: The Southern Miss Activities Council (SMAC) provides opportunities for students to
feel connected and engaged outside the classroom through a variety of fun programming.
SMAC holds a membership drive each spring with selection of the membership for the
next academic year. Requirements include a minimum 2.500 cumulative GPA each semester
and 75% or more participation in all events, marketing efforts, and meetings each
semester.
