The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking input from the University community to finalize the update to the Disaster Resistant University Plan. The draft plan includes strategies designed to provide a safer environment for the University community, to ensure the continuity of operations, and to protect University assets in the event of potential hazards. The updated plan covers the Hattiesburg campus and includes provisions for the Gulf Park Campus and the Gulf Coast Research Lab. 

A public meeting and plan presentation is set for Wednesday, May 1, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., in Cook Union, Room C. 

The draft plan is available for viewing here (PDF), and public comments will be received through the close of business on Wednesday, May 15.
