Welcome to Events, Camps, and Conferences at Southern Miss and thank you for considering the University for your next event! Housed within the Union Department, the Office of Events, Camps, and Conferences oversees the booking process for events held in the Thad Cochran Center, R.C. Cook University Union and Hub, as well as the first level of the Trent Lott National Center. Our team also coordinates logistics such as housing, meals, and facilities for summer camps and programs during the summer season providing our camp clientele with One-Stop-Shop service.

Our beautiful, modern and distinct venues provide the ideal setting for a variety of special events, meetings, conferences and more. *The Union and Department is a self-supporting auxiliary enterprise funded primarily by a designated student fee. Hosting special events such as weddings, conferences, etc. on campus allows our department to better serve our students and alumni. These types of events also allow us to maximize the efficient use of our facilities, particularly when student usage is minimal, therefore helping us offset our operational costs.
