THE COAST DEFINES EVERYTHING WE DO AND WHO WE ARE.
Coastal USM's Gulf Park campus places the coast squarely at the forefront of the blue economy, defined as creating sustainable prosperity through our interactions with the world’s oceans. The connection between the Gulf and the blue economy is Coastal USM, providing unique opportunities for education, research, advocacy, and development not to be found anywhere else. As the only four-year public institution located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Coastal USM offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in more than 50 distinct academic fields. The USM Gulf Park campus is also home to the state’s only bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering, the only film studies pathway offered at a public institution in the state, and one of three four-year colleges to offer hydrography in the United States. It's time to pack your curiosity, eternal optimism, and lots of sunscreen. Your adventure awaits. Heed the Call.
