The School of Accountancy and Zeta Mu chapter of Beta Alpha Psi invite you to its annual eight hour continuing professional education event. The event is Wednesday, May 15, 2024. We are excited to provide knowledgeable speakers on a variety of accounting topics. D. Glenn Terry, CPA, CFE, CISA, CITP
Mr. Glenn Terry has over 40 years of experience delivering professional services to
emerging private companies and multi-national high growth organizations, including
numerous IPO transactions and SEC foreign public issuers. His broad-based experiences
and global leadership skills have not only provided him insights on traditional business
concepts, but also complex financial transactions and structures, including significant
acquisitions and divestitures, strategy development and execution, technology driven
required change, cyber risks and global financial reporting requirements. His experiences
at EY, in addition to providing client service, included serving in the National Accounting
and Auditing Office, as a member of the US and Global technical professional practice
groups, as the Global Automotive Retail Leader and the Americas EYU Leader. Additionally,
Glenn has authored and developed numerous thought leadership materials, technical
accounting and auditing guidance, technical learning programs and provided direct
hands on coaching to global teams in numerous countries, including the Far East.
After his recent retirement as an EY senior partner, Glenn joined the faculty at the College of Business and Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to working with the School of Accountancy on matters such as curriculum development, he serves as a full time instructor for both undergraduate and graduate accounting and financial related courses. In addition to the University of Southern Mississippi, Glenn has served as a guest lecturer at Tulane University, Texas A&M University, and Millsaps College. He is also a frequent speaker on various business topics at industry and financial related conferences.
Glenn holds a Masters, BBA, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics from Millsaps College. Additionally, he has studied international economics and business strategies at the University of London and various leadership programs at the Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Information Technology Professional.
Robert T. Jackson, Jr.
Mr. Robert T. Jackson, Jr. brings a wealth of experience and expertise, focusing on
estate planning, probate and estate administration, trust administration, business
formation and governance, business succession, taxation law, and real estate transactions.
Rob is a partner with Jackson, Tullos & Rogers, PLLC of Hattiesburg, MS.
Rob earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He furthered his legal education with an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Prior to his legal career, Robert obtained a B.B.A. with a major in Accounting from the University of Mississippi.
Rob has received numerous honors and awards, including being listed in The Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in Tax Law, Trust & Estates, and Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships). He has served as the Chair of both the Taxation Section and the Estates and Trusts Section of the Mississippi Bar. He is also a member of the South Central Mississippi Bar Association. Rob is a board member of United Christian Ministries and a past board member of the Pinebelt Foundation.
Jeremy Graves
Mr. Jeremy Graves received his bachelor's and master's degrees from The University
of Southern Mississippi. He joined the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering
at Southern Miss as an adjunct faculty member around 2007 and later moved to full-time
Instructor in 2008. He has trained instructors and industry members from all over
the United States the knowledge and skills required to design, maintain, and implement
current technologies. He has taught IT and IT related topics to students in classrooms
since 1999. He has built and managed multiple corporations that manage and maintain
IT for customers in the southeast. This has provided him with decades of enterprise
and small-business experience within his field.
