The event will be held virtually and in-person on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17 and 18, 2022, on the Hattiesburg campus in Scianna Hall. The in-person event followed the guidelines set forth by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the University of Southern Mississippi. The event will be held in the Scianna Hall, room 1048 to ensure appropriate social distancing for all in-person participants.
D. Glenn Terry, CPA, CFE, CISA, CITP
Glenn has over 40 years of experience delivering professional services to emerging
private companies and multi-national high growth organizations, including numerous
IPO transactions and SEC foreign public issuers. His broad-based experiences and global
leadership skills have not only provided him insights on traditional business concepts,
but also complex financial transactions and structures, including significant acquisitions
and divestitures, strategy development and execution, technology driven required change,
cyber risks and global financial reporting requirements. His experiences at EY, in
addition to providing client service, included serving in the National Accounting
and Auditing Office, as a member of the US and Global technical professional practice
groups, as the Global Automotive Retail Leader and the Americas EYU Leader. Additionally,
Glenn has authored and developed numerous thought leadership materials, technical
accounting and auditing guidance, technical learning programs and provided direct
hands on coaching to global teams in numerous countries, including the Far East.
After his recent retirement as an EY senior partner, Glenn joined the faculty at the College of Business and Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to working with the School of Accountancy on matters such as curriculum development, he serves as a full time instructor for both undergraduate and graduate accounting and financial related courses. In addition to the University of Southern Mississippi, Glenn has served as a guest lecturer at Tulane University, Texas A&M University, and Millsaps College. He is also a frequent speaker on various business topics at industry and financial related conferences.
Glenn holds a Masters, BBA, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics from Millsaps College. Additionally, he has studied international economics and business strategies at the University of London and various leadership programs at the Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Information Technology Professional.
Don Minyard, Ph.D, CPA/ABV, CFE, CFF
Donald H. Minyard is a clinical professor in Accountancy at The University of Alabama
and is a shareholder in the Financial Forensics & Valuation Group, PC (Birmingham).
He has over 35 years of experience in accounting and finance. He specializes in areas
of business valuation and consulting, statistical analysis, fraud examination and
litigation support. He is experienced in providing accounting services related to
lost profits, shareholder disputes, business interruptions, unfair business practices,
intellectual property, divorces, estates and trusts, and bankruptcy. He also works
in transaction consulting including dissolutions, divestitures, stock issuances, private
placements, buy/sell agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. Minyard is experienced
in a wide range of industries including software, construction, banking, insurance,
dental and medical practices, medical devices, nursing homes, restaurants, timber,
and government contractors. He is experienced in teaching accounting and finance courses,
also teaching continuing education courses. He is a frequent speaker to audiences
of accounting and finance professionals. In both 2017 and 2018 Don won the University
of Alabama’s Huntsville Executive MBA Program Faculty Excellence Award.
Mike Morgan, CPA
Mike Morgan is a CPA and is currently serving as Professor of Practice at the USM
School of Business where he has been teaching finance courses for the last seven years.
Prior to joining USM, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Bomgar Corporation
for 8 years and served as President for 2 years prior to the sale of the company to
a private equity firm. Mike has served as CFO of four technology and telecommunications
firms. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mike is married
to Tracy Morgan, also a CPA and he has three grown children, Will, Mitzi and Jerri
Ann (and Jerri Ann is a recent graduate of the USM MPA program).
