Why an MBA from Southern Miss?

The MBA is the most demanded graduate degree in the world. Our MBA program is built to help students strengthen the core skills employers value most. Through coursework and applied learning, our graduates will be able to make informed decisions, think critically, solve problems, analyze data, and communicate effectively in professional settings.

Each cohort brings together students from diverse academic and professional paths. Roughly half studied business as undergraduates, while others come from fields such as engineering, science, humanities, public health, and the health professions. This mix creates a dynamic learning environment and encourages collaboration across disciplines.

Whether you're advancing in your current field or pivoting to a new one, the Southern Miss MBA provides the broad, versatile business knowledge needed to grow in a wide range of careers.

If you're coming from a non-business background or simply want to refresh your business knowledge ahead of your MBA journey, explore Kaplan's GMAC Business Fundamentals Courses. These expert-led, pre-MBA business school courses equip you with the critical knowledge you need for success in a graduate business program.
