The Keyboard Division offers comprehensive training across multiple areas of piano study, including solo performance, collaborative piano, chamber music, accompanying, keyboard pedagogy, and ensemble performance. The program attracts undergraduate and graduate students from across the region, the nation, and around the world through its distinguished programs in keyboard studies, offering additional opportunities in orchestral and band performance, choral music, chamber music, opera, and musical theatre.

The curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop as soloists, collaborative artists, educators, and versatile professional musicians through applied instruction, ensemble participation, coaching, and performance experiences.

Choose Your Path

Students may pursue undergraduate degrees (B.A., B.M., and B.M.E.) with piano study, as well as graduate degrees including the Master of Music in Piano Performance, Master of Music in Collaborative Piano, Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance, and Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano.
